Governing AI in Corporate Reporting: Building Trust Through Auditability

Wizpresso was proud to sponsor the HKMA Best Annual Reports Awards Seminar 2026, where industry leaders came together to explore the future of ESG reporting, smart disclosures, and governed AI.

Our Product Advisor, Patrick Lee, shared practical insights on “Governing AI in Corporate Reporting to Strengthen Stakeholder Trust.” The discussion focused on a critical shift we are seeing across the market: companies are no longer adopting AI just for efficiency, but for regulatory confidence, traceability, and audit readiness.

A key theme throughout the session was clear — trust in AI-driven reporting does not come from the technology itself, but from how it is governed. As AI becomes more embedded in disclosure processes, organizations must ensure that every output is explainable, attributable, and fully auditable. Without these controls, AI risks scaling errors rather than strengthening reporting integrity.

We also explored what “governed AI” looks like in practice:

  • Grounding outputs in verifiable internal data
  • Embedding regulatory frameworks into workflows
  • Enforcing human review and accountability
  • Designing systems with audit trails by default

At Wizpresso, this approach is built into how we design our platform. With Diligence, teams can map disclosures to regulatory requirements, identify gaps early, and maintain clear traceability from source data through to final outputs.

The Hong Kong Management Association (HKMA) Best Annual Reports Awards is one of the region’s most respected benchmarks for excellence in corporate reporting. It recognizes organizations that demonstrate transparency, clarity, and high standards in communicating their financial and ESG performance to stakeholders.

As expectations around disclosure continue to evolve, the Awards provide a valuable platform for companies to showcase best practices and build trust with investors and the wider community.
