We were honored to participate in a dynamic panel discussion hosted by Google Hong Kong, welcoming over 40 bright students from more than 7 Canadian universities as part of their self-initiated Career Exchange Tour.

Our Founder and CEO, Calvin Cheng, joined an esteemed panel alongside Google Hong Kong GM Michael Yue, Amy Wong, and Ron Kwok for the Canadian University Alumni Fireside Chat. The session brought together students eager to explore career opportunities in Asia and learn from leaders navigating the region’s unique business landscape.
Engaging Discussions on Career, Innovation, and AI
The fireside chat covered a wide range of topics that resonated with the students’ career aspirations and curiosity about working in Asia:
- Work experiences in Asia: Insights into building careers across different markets and industries in the region
- Skill transfer between North America and Asia: How to leverage education and experience across continents
- Entrepreneurship and innovation in Hong Kong: The startup ecosystem, challenges, and opportunities for founders
- Youth development: Preparing the next generation for success in a rapidly evolving job market
- Job interviews in the age of AI: Practical advice on standing out when AI is transforming recruitment
The audience’s questions were thoughtful and engaging, reflecting genuine interest in understanding how to bridge their Canadian education with opportunities in Asia.
What made this event particularly special was that the entire tour was completely self-initiated by the students from Canada. Their drive to explore career opportunities abroad and connect with industry leaders demonstrates the kind of global mindset that will serve them well in their future careers.
